I feel that I have learnt a lot of useful aspects concerning teacher?s and learner?s roles. I like that all the information in unit 1 is structured and is easy to remember. I acquired the knowledge of a teacher?s main roles. I understood an interesting fact: teachers should be able to find and keep balance between dominating at the lesson and allowing students to practise English themselves. Learners should make an effort even if it?s small effort, and a teacher shouldn?t dominate at the moment of a learner?s initiative not to ?kill? learners motivation. I learnt that the style of teaching could incredibly be changed by a teacher regarding the classroom he/she has. It depends on many factors such as the age of learners, learning experience, life experience, motivation and other. The strategy of teaching is different comparing young learners with teenagers, and adults. Young learners can?t concentrate for a long time. They want to play games. Teenagers are not motivated to study. Adults have their own opinion of how the lesson must be carried out due to their life experience. A teacher has to be able to find an approach to everybody to increase the effectiveness of a lesson.
