There are 7 common tenses that have future meanings. 1) Future Simple: Forms covered are affirmative/negative questions, negative question and contractions. Main usages are future facts and certainties, promises and predictions.2) Future Continuous: Forms covered are affirmative, yes/no questions and negatives. Usages are, To say that something will be in progress at a particular moment in the future. To predict the present, polite enquirers with no influences and refer to future events. 3) Future Perfect: form is affirmative, yes/no questions and negatives. Usages: That something will have been done, completed or achieved by a certain time in the future. We look back on the past from a future standpoint, past in the future. 4) Future Perfect Continuous: Form, affirmative, yes/no questions and negatives. Useages: How long something will have continued by a certain time. 5) Be going + infinitive. Form, affirmative, yes/no questions and negatives. Usages: tensions, predictions based on present and plans( decisions made before speaking). 6) Present Simple: To suggest a more formal situation. For timetable and schedules. To suggest a more impersonal tone. 7) Present Continuous: For decisions and plans without a time frame.
