This is an excellent unit on lessons and how to plan them. I have noticed in my previous teachings that there is such a thing as over-planning, but there is also a risk of being ill-prepared. The ESA approach is very helpful in that it is a natural flow of what a lesson might typically look like, the time it will take to conduct, and the problems that might arise. I always make a point to practice my lessons beforehand, and these sheets will help with both the practice and the actual execution. It's crucial to note the learner's objective's in each of the lesson plans, as they are truly the driving force behind each lesson. If it seems like the objective is not being met during a lesson, it can drastically alter the plan for that lesson and future lessons. Knowing exactly what the students need is more important than strictly following a plan (especially a plan that is failing). Personal aims are also imperative, and I'm sure I will spend much time with self-evaluation. As of right now, I think it will be difficult for me to predict what the problems in each lesson will be and how to solve them, but I'm certain this will grow easier as I continue to teach. The same goes for most aspects of lesson-planning and teaching.
