I learned that sentences containing when/if refer to present, past, or future possibilities. There are five main conditionals as follows: Zero conditional, first conditional, second conditional, third conditional, mixed conditional. Zero conditional: if/when+ present+ present tense Example: when you boil water, you get steam. First conditional: if + present simple+ will Example: If he studies hard, he will pass the test Example: If she has money, she might buy it Second conditional: if + past simple, would/could/might + base form Example: If I won the lottery, I would travel the world Third conditional: If + past perfect+ would/could/might + have+ past participle Example: if I had practiced the violin, I would have been better. Mixed conditional: we sometimes combine second conditional clause with third conditional clause. If I had listened to him, I would be in serious trouble now. I learned about teaching ideas for conditional sentences such as split sentences, completing the conditional, and nuclear bunker role play. I learned that in direct and reported (indirect) speeches, the past perfect and past perfect continuous are the same in both types of speeches. In addition, I learned about direct and reported speech. I learned that in the reported speech we are obliged to report in the past tense since the phone call is over. When we turn the direct questions into reported speech , the following changes take place: The question word (such as when, where, how) remains the same, but the form of the verb changes into a positive form, the question mark is reported in the reported question, and the verb say changes into ask. The tense of speech reported is the same as the reporting verb. If there is no question word,if or whether must be used.\" Is anyone there?\" He asked. The reported speech: He asked if/whether anyone was there. Also, the pronoun denoting who is spoken to can change depending on the context. In general, present becomes past and 'this ' and 'here' becomes \"that\" and \"there \". \"Today\" becomes that day, \"yesterday \" becomes \"the day before\" or \"previous\" day, \"tomorrow \" becomes \"the next day \" or \"the day after\". Teaching ideas could be intermediaries, reporting verbs, or media interviews.
