This unit is a very good extension to the previous lesson planning unit. It highlights the importance of keeping a record, not just for personal use but if, for example you were sick, another teacher would know what you are currently teaching. It can also be seen as a working document not just a document made before the lesson. This is for flexibility purposes. You don't want to see the lesson plan as set in stone. Some activities may take longer, some may be more enjoyable for the students so you should alter the lesson plan accordingly. Where this unit differs from the previous lesson planning unit is it actually highlights what to put in a plan and how to create the document itself.
