This unit was slightly easier than the past grammatical units. I think this is in part because I have recently been studying Spanish and many of these past tense grammatical terms and structures are used in both languages. I am still struggling to fully grasp how I can apply these in real life, however I believe that it will come much easier once I am working in a classroom environment. Perhaps I will begin taking note of the times that I am using the past tenses in my speech and mentally articulate whether or not a sentence was past-perfect or past-continuous etc. This will help me orient myself within our daily speech and thus help me understand how to better explain it to a student.
