Unit 3 discusses the various Theories, Methods, and Techniques available for teaching ESL. The Teacher needs to be familiar and flexible in the application of a chosen method. All of these require a certain level of experience and knowledge of the Teacher in assessing the best Method and Technique that is applicable for the level of knowledge of the Learners. As with any situation, the leadership abilities of the Teacher in \"knowing\" what is best for the situation should be developed through time and practice.
