This unit covers the importance of planning lessons and offers suggestions of how to write a lesson plan. Breaking the lesson plan down into its components, the unit explains why each part is helpful and how to refer to the lesson plan before, during, and after the class. I learned to include not only the learner objective, the goals for students to be able to accomplish by the end of the lesson, but also my personal objective, what aspects of my own teaching I'd like to be conscientious of and improve upon during the lesson. This unit also provides example materials to demonstrate how one might write out a lesson plan and what kinds of engaging worksheets could be used to carry it out.
