This section focused on the roles of teacher and student, setting the stage for learning how to become an effective teacher, and understanding your students better

The unit I've studied today was dedicated to grammar, mainly to conditionals and reported speech

This unit focused mostly on teacher-student dynamics within the classroom and how using voice, gestures, and seating arrangements can alter a student's respect for the teacher, effectively influencing the entire classroom environment

This unit does a great job of reviewing the engage, study and activate stages of a straight arrow lesson plan

Having no prior teaching education, I found this unit to be almost entirely new information - some of which seemed irrelevant to me

There are differences between roles of teacher and leraners

This unit, while short and definitely concentrated, was quite informative

Unit 2 provided me with much needed information regarding parts of speech

The past tenses primary function is to place an action or situation in the past

My opinion about this unit gives an insight as how to teach applying methodologies in a class room environment

I can certainly see how students can make mistakes with conditionals

In the fourth unit, I have learnt about present tenses, including simple present tense, present progressive tense, present perfect tense, and present perfect progressive tense

This section was interesting because it introduced many different styles of potential lesson planning that I hadn't been aware of previously, even though I had been involved in them both as a student and as a teacher, so it was really a \"putting a name to a thing\" scenario

This chapter went back to exploring the grammar of tenses, specifically the past tense and its aspects

This section talks about the engage study activate phase where student practice the use of english language in an effective manner

I noticed there wasn't a video linked to this unit, so I just read over the unit material before engaging in this test

The two videos provided in this lesson highlight the potential outcomes of a classroom setting depending on the demeanor of the teacher

Lesson planning is one of the most challenging aspects of teaching

Methods taught here a very different to what I am used to and I struggle a bit to understand

The last Unit covers our first lesson where we should focus our attention on introducing ourself and students using activities such as ball play, to pay attention when we start a class to warm student a bit and not just start immediately with a lesson( could use hangman, pictionary, memory games), use of student native language is allowed only in some cases when a student can't explain him self in English

I learned that providing a balance of receptive skills and productive skills is key to teach a language

In this unit, I watched two videos of a real life teaching lesson to Thai students

? feel that its important how to pronounce words properly as a native speaker of English ? was never taught phonetics and it just came naturally to me as its my first language but, ? can understand having a accent can affect teaching as students often find particular accents difficult especially for example the North of England ones,because if a teacher has a strong accent then processing that accent would take time and it could slow down, the students understanding as time is being spent trying to get to grips of what is actually being said! Also some foreign teachers have never really considered how they pronounce their words and are indeed learning themselves along the way!

This unit is by far my favorite since it provided a lot of classroom materials and resources

This unit covered the importance of reading and listening in regards to learning a foreign language, and how best to teach students those particular skills

Unit 20 explains some of the troubleshooting that may arise as a teacher in a classroom
