This unit discusses theories about learning and development, an understanding of which leads to deciding on the ideal approach to teaching this group of learners. The young learners are divided into 2 groups, and the ideal approach or methodology for teaching each group was discussed,. The ESA approach is emphasized and is a refresher for me. I have not given much thought to the learning environment, particularly on how tables/chairs are to be arranged, until now that each arrangement is given its suitable use. Productive and receptive skills are again covered in this unit, which to me is helpful in drilling down these different skills to memory.
