This was a good review of parts of speech. I definitely already had great knowledge of the major parts of speech but some of the sub-categories were new for me. For example, transitive verbs and intransitive verbs are a new concept for me. I also have more awareness now that there are not always hard and fast rules for everything but parts of speech are more about how a word is used than a word being intrinsically always one part of speech. Take gerunds for example. You would think that a word like laughing would always be a verb, but in the sentence, \"Laughing is good for your health\" it is acting as the subject of the sentence and not the verb.
