Tests are very important. If a student takes a placement test before the start of the course, the teacher can correctly place that student in a class that will best suit them. I believe that a test should be given after each unit. This will show the teacher what exactly the students learned, and what they may have missed. This not only helps the students remember the material, but also helps the teacher further understand what material they may have a problem teaching. A progress test is also very important. It will help the students remember what they learned in the past, instead of just learning it and forgetting the material after the unit test.
