This unit introduces a recently foreign concept that taught me a lot about pronunciation and the use of stress in sentences. Intonation and its importance it holds when both speaking and listening to understanding intentions, expectations and implications. Stress and how its placements can completely change the meaning of a sentence. Sound joining: Linking speech, sound dropping, sound changing and extra lettering. Phonemic symbols and how to use them to both help in problem areas of pronunciation but also to differentiate between sounds. Articulation and the importance of the positioning of the mouth when speaking to properly pronounce words.
