This unit discusses the question of how to manage a class in terms of the seating arrangements and the grouping of students, with the pros and cons of the different possibilities being examined. The subjects of maintaining discipline, establishing rapport between teacher and students, how to give instructions, and how to balance Teacher and Student Talk Time were also reviewed. One important point that I take away from this lesson is that there is no \"right\" classroom layout or student grouping. They both very much depend on the material and activities being covered in the lesson and the degree of need for students to receive individual attention.
