In this unit I learned about different ways teachers can evaluate their students levels and progress. some of the common tests are placement test, progress test, Diagnostic test as well as practice test. I learned that the placement test is design to help or enable teachers to place new students into the correct class based on their language ability. Progress test is used to periodically gauge what language has been remembered by the student. Diagnostic test is given at the start of the course in order to identify what the student already knows. Lastly, the practice test follow the same format as an external examination given to prepare the student.
