This unit was a necessary refresher to parts of speech, that are not often thought about when speaking and writing in your native language. While I knew the basic definitions of nouns, verbs, adverbs, etc. this unit went into a depth that I had not previously covered. This unit identified the difference between common, proper, compound, abstract and collective nouns. Addressed the comparative and superlative adjectives. Covered indefinite and definite articles, which are most easily identified by cue words such as \"a\" \"an\" and \"the.\" I learn the difference between transitive and intransitive verbs and what function they have in a sentence.
