This unit covered course books and lesson materials. This is really helpful to get an idea as to what kinds of materials can be used to supplement lessons given in class. The unit included several example worksheets and activities to use with the students through the engage, study and activate phases of lessons. This unit described the different between authentic and created materials - authentic materials are anything a native speaker would be reading or speaking such as a newspaper, radio show, brochures, or films. Created materials could be anything used by teachers to supplement a lesson that they designed themselves or used previous examples of.
