Learning the past tenses has shown me that the English language is very complex because it has 12 tenses; the past, present, and future. Understanding how every tense is used is critical to teaching the student the proper form of the sentence to get the tense correct. Within learning the tenses, students will also have to learn about irregular verbs as well.In this unit I learnt about the passive voice, modal auxiliary verbs, relative clauses and about phrasal verbs. The passive voice was very well explained, because I understood everything immediately. The phrasal verbs on the other hand was very hard to understand, because it was confusing and in my opinion the example sentences were not explained thoroughly.
