This unit has allowed me to develop my knowledge of the passive voice and what it looks like in a sentence and how it differs from the active voice. Furthermore I have learnt about the uses of modal verbs and how they coney different meanings and intentions. Moreover I have learnt the usages of phrasal verbs and the three different sections that they belong to.This unit covered the receptive skills of reading and listening and how you use these two skills to take in the information around you. Depending on the goal, such as quickly finding information or discerning the meaning of an article, we use different methods of reading or listening to extract the information we are looking for, such as skimming or predicting.
