Based on my own experience learning grammar, it helps to have plenty of imagination in order to figure out which form of past tense to use when. If the sentence is 'John had been painting the wall when I arrived', it helps to be able to visualise yourself arriving, seeing John still at work painting the wall, and thinking, perhaps he has been painting for some time.A teacher doesn't need qualification or technical knowledge and skills as a prerequisite to teach English to Business people as he needs to adapt to a different approach though the technical knowledge is useful. A teacher needs to exercise patient repetition, positive encouragement and continual praise on his students (children) so he can hold their attention always.
