Unit 9 covered lesson planning. The unit started by covering the reasons why it is important to plan a lesson and the benefits that result from planning such as having a working document to refer to during the lesson as well as a record to help you remember what and when something was taught in the future. The unit then covered how a lesson plan should be written down and the importance of being organized for your lessons. Finally it covered in detail what should be included in the lesson plan, this as well as the lesson plan layout really helped me to understand and visualize how a lesson would be broken down into the ESA phases. I fell that having a lesson plan ready for before teaching a class can really help with a teachers confidence especially if they are new to the teaching experience. Having the lesson plan to \"fall back on\" during teaching can really help ensure the lessons runs a lot smoother then just trying to run an impromptu lesson. I found task 2 and 3 very helpful as I was able to use the lesson plan template and put together a lesson plan for based off those worksheets. I found the first lesson plan took some time but by the time I was doing the second I already felt more confident while filling it out.
