In this unit we discussed about the various types of classes. Firstly we looked at teaching beginners class,with this class we have about five categories under it these include the absolute beginner,the false beginner,the young beginner and the others. Also we looked at teaching individual students and some suggested ways to go about it. Teaching children is also another type of class we looked at and per the discussion it is one of the most rewarding class to teach because children have some innate curiosity which is a motivating factor to start with. We then looked at Business English/English for Specific Purpose (ESP),here we refer to learners as clients. The clients teachers are likely to meet can vary immensely,age factor,diversity of language levels within a group,not all learners will be motivated,just to mention a few. To solve this issue,needs analysis is used to plan the course. Finally,teaching the monolingual and the multilingual class. Students from multilingual class tend to use English language more in class,with monolingual class it is likely they will have same kind of difficulty with English which will be easier for the teacher to rectify. With all the above mentioned class types,they all have their unique teaching approach.
