This unit addresses the different classroom sizes, the different kinds of students and what to do with each. With so many different situations that could arise in a classroom, it is always a good idea to be prepared. For students who work and learn at different levels pairing up the stronger students with the weaker is often helpful. This way the stronger students get to practice and the weaker students can aid from having things explained to them again. For large classes group/ pair work and total clarity with instructions seems to be the survival kit. This way the whole class can understand what they need to do and have their peers to help. With large classes there are so many dynamics between students, a good teacher will use those dynamics to make a fun and interesting class. This unit also talked a lot about not using the students? native language and it makes a lot of sense. Luckily, for me, the only language I know is English so not speaking to the students? in their native tongue will be an easy feat. I am very excited to get out into the ?field? and start teaching English! I absolutely love meeting new people and discovering new cultures for myself.
