I feel ive learned a number of useful pieces of information from this unit. Firstly i have concluded that by using the nine teaching roles i can plan my lessons more effectively. To explain, from taking into account my teaching role before the lesson begins will allow me to control my own teaching contribution as necessarry to achieve the required results from the lesson aim. Secondly i have found the language level distinction to be informative and useful. Having never taken a TEFL course before and working at academies, i have never had the opportunity to assess students abilites against a set recognized framework such as the frameworks listed in this unit. By assesing students against this criteria will allow me to make recommendations to my superiors in regard to students levels. By following this framework we can also judge what the student needs to be aiming for to progress to further levels of that framework and make necessary adjustments to level test and study aims. Consequently by incorporating new information learned on teaching roles and level framework i feel i will able to get more from my students contributions to class and have a clear role of what areas of English to focus on with each of my students and their respective levels.
