This was a great refresher course about all the parts of speech we use everyday in the English language. On the surface nouns, adjectives, adverbs, and verbs are easy to identify and understand. But when you get deeper into the language you uncover why English is so hard to learn. It is quite complex. For example, it is not enough to know a noun, you must understand that there are 5 kinds and be able to identify each. Adjectives are used to explain a noun but you must understand that there are different kinds of adjectives and sometimes they change the spelling of the word (easy/easiest). You must realize when to use the appropriate article depending on the word it precedes. For example, an elephant, or a uniform. In order to properly use the English language you must understand not only what each word is, but also, it's relationship to the other words in the sentence. You must also know how those relationships could actually change the spelling of a word and how it is used (tidy/tidily). This section is critical to understanding the difficult aspects of learning English so you can properly break down the material and keep it simple for optimal learning. It also helps to understand what aspects to spend a bit more time on knowing they are more complex.
