Reading this unit I refreshed my knowledge about modal verbs and found some good teaching ideas. It can be a doctor-patient role-play as we can express advices and obligations. Establishing rules for a hotel, school, summer camp could provide a good opportunity for usage modals of obligations, permission and prohibition. We can also offer students to guess the meaning of traffic signs. For teaching passive voice is good to use general knowledge quiz using passive examples. I have leant that there are types of phrasal verbs: intransitive, transitive separable and transitive inseparable. Teacher should try to use the phrasal verbs that have been taught naturally during uncontrolled practice.
