It's interesting reading about the differences and the contrasts between teaching reading/listening skills, and writing/speaking skills. I tend to lean more towards receptive skill learning on certain subjects, especially those that I have some background knowledge in, and especially if I have an interest in the subject! However, for other subjects (especially ones that I have less background knowledge of and less of an interest in), I tend to require more of a productive-skill style lesson. This will be very important for me to keep in mind, as depending on the level of learners that I am teaching will largely affect the amount of time I spend on each type of skill style, respectively.
