The grammar points addressesd in the unit are four types of past tense, that is Past Simple, Past Perfect, Past Continuis and Present Perfect Continuous. The main condition that determines the usage of one or another verb formed is time reference. If there is a specific defined time, we use Past Simple, if the action is in progress with the defined time, we use Past Continuous. if the action takes place before the defined time we generally use Past Perfect forms. What I found useful in the unit, were the games for the activation stage - CV, and building narratives (these are particularly important as they provide the right context for the language usage and develop creativity in students).
