This unit described the four present verb tenses: present simple, present continuous, present perfect, present perfect continuous. For each tense the usage and examples were given. I am a native English speaker and I found this unit challenging. Although I use all of these tenses, I never think about why I use them. It just comes naturally. Although I became frustrated during this unit, I believe the frustration to be helpful. If I , a native speaker, became frustrated then an English language learner could become very frustrated. As I was going through this unit I was thinking about how to teach this particular grammar piece. It was helpful to have the Activation Phase activity suggestions.
