Throughout this section, various parts of speech were explained in decent detail. While most of these ideas were things I was very familiar with, parts of speech were not necessarily something I had considered how I might go about teaching those subjects. As a native speaker, one doesn?t exactly learn parts of speech as much as they are simply so absorbed in them that it becomes second nature. I feel as though while I had already known all these varied parts of speech, I learned how a non-native speaker may see the English language and be fairly overwhelmed. This section taught me that in the future, I need to be sensitive to the difficulties my students may be having with the language.
