This unit made more sense and was more relevant to teaching. It went over the usages of a course book, authentic material, and substitute materials. It also went over the usages of how to choose what to use when. One of the things that I found the most helpful is when to use the coursebook and when not to. I think that the best way is to use the course book for vocabulary and grammar as well as the overall course direction and syllabus. It will be specially helpful when dealing with how to structure the overall class. With a course book, the students have a security blanket and know what they are teaching, it also allows me greater freedom in how I teach and what I choose to use to teach it.
