This unit was an overview of the past tense forms of English? including the reasoning for why different past tenses might be used, and exceptions to the typical structure of each tense. For instance, the simple past tense section provided a lengthy list of exceptions to the normal structure of past tense. This is useful to know as native English speakers may not always be cognizant of the fact that many of these everyday past tenses are irregular forms, despite the fact that this may in fact cause confusion for their students. The most useful content in this unit for me were the sample teaching activities for each activity- I hope to keep them in mind and put them to use in the classroom!
