Reading and listening are a very important part of learning a language. Some students may be better at reading/listening, while others may be better at speaking. It's important to practice all of these things when learning a language. This unit brought up some good points to help with the confidence of the readers. For example, having the students skim over the reading to find uknown vocab words is a good idea. They could make a list together as a class of unknown words before reading, then see if they understand the words better after reading, then have the teacher go over with the class the actual reading of the words , then hopefully the students will have a clear idea of what the text means.
