What I learned from this unit is that workbooks have both advantages and disadvantages such as students know what the syllabus is based on the workbook but students may not be engaged in the workbook if it?s not relatable or if the workbook dictates what the student is to be taught. Workbooks are helpful for students and teachers but teachers cannot completely rely on workbooks to teach students. Each classroom has students from different skill levels so teachers need to be adaptable and relatable to the students? skill level and interests. I also enjoyed looking at some of the examples the unit gave on topics students can talk about, or activities students participate in to be engaged.
