This unit gave an insight into the characteristics of a good teacher and a good learner. It started off with listing the different roles of a teacher stating that a good teacher will be able to switch between these roles appropriately. It then continued to give a very clear and concise overview of the differences between adults and young learners, cultures, and language levels. While studying this unit I was able to reflect on previous teaching experiences - it showed me what I still need to improve, or could do differently. I also thought the part on 'what is a good learner?' was particularly interesting as it made me realise that a completely different teaching approach is needed when teaching people from different ages, backgrounds, and language levels.
