This unit consisted of a review of the past tense. My learning was significant. Verbs are a necessary part of learning a language, and they are difficult. While I believe that the utmost care must be exercised to ascertain that the student of English is not overwhelmed by its complexity, a gradual presentation of the material with plenty of repetition of the concept, not the exercises or exercise forms, can help the student to develop self-confidence in his/her ability to express him/herself. So I am modifying my previous statement that I would never teach verbs.
