I enjoyed learning about the example Boomerang ESA lesson plan involving telephone role playing. I can see where I will need to be flexible as a teacher, seeing as certain phases may take longer or need more attention than previously planned. My favorite idea in this exercise is the first study phase part: eliciting typical phone conversation language and writing it on the board. Students who volunteer words will hear themselves speak the language and have it confirmed (and correctly wired) when I write it on the board, correcting pronunciation as necessary. So far, I have learned that correction happens during the study phases. The act of writing the language on the board and narrating is a technique that I thought was successful in the video lessons unit.
