In this unit, it is helpful to know some of the common issues that might arise as a new teacher in a new classroom environment. It also vital to know that teachers will encounter different types of students and how you teach or what activities you use in a lesson can be helpful to the more quiet or reluctant students. Throughout the course, pair and group work activities really help with the possible gap in level that every class experiences. By using the stronger students as mediators and 'assistants', then they can be of use to the weaker students as well as bring a different dynamic to the classroom - one where the students are disciplined and enthusiastic as they play a small role as mediator or group leader (which is an advantage if the classroom is large).
