The unit starts with a description of what rapresents an authentic and non-authentic material. Each type of material has specific usages, advantages and disadvantages. For example, authentic material tends to be way more engaging and realistic, on the other hand it needs to be carefully selected and it is often not tailored to our desired language skill level. The unit has a guide on how to design non-authentic material for our class. The Lesson Planning section follows, and as seen previously, it is of critical importance. It is not only a written record of each lesson, but also a constant reference to the teacher himself/herself.
