As always, a different aspect in teaching English is introduced that has helped give me two broad categories to consider more explicitly when planning a lesson. From experience, depending on how a student learns, they tend to generally be stronger in reading and writing or, listening and speaking. I was mostly stronger in listening and speaking when it came to the mid-stages of learning Japanese as opposed to the majority of the China students in my class who were more proficient in reading and writing but couldn't speak as fast. I can see the potential challenges in teaching a class that will likely have a combination of both learning styles and have started to plan and anticipate how to develop a student's potential without having their weakness sag to far behind.
