This unit covers some basic essential grammar of English language. Modal auxiliary verbs are used to express obligations, requests, possibilities, probabilities, abilities, advices and permissions. There are two voices used in English; first is active voice and second is passive voice. The passive voice is used when agent is unknown, when agent is unimportant. There are three categories. of clauses and they are independent clause , dependent clause, and relative clause. Also the relative clause have two different types which are ; defining relative clause, and non-defining relative clause. There are three types of phrasal verbs and they are; intransitive (type 1) phrasal verb, transitive separable (type 2) phrasal verb, and transitive inseparable (type 3) phrasal verb.
