In Unit 5, we learned about the different factors of classroom management. First, we learned how teachers are to effectively use eye-contact, gestures, and voice. Then, we learned how we can group students and how to organize students in the classroom. Next, we learned the proper ways of how to handle writing on the board and giving individual student attention. We also learned how to properly give instruction and how to create a balance between teacher talk time and student talk time. Lastly, we learned how to establish good rapport and maintain discipline. I believe Unit 5 to be very important. I think what makes teacher different from a lecturer is their ability to manage a class. You can have all the knowledge of a subject but, it does not mean you can teach it.
