This section laid the foundation to exploring the roles of both the instructor and the student. The unit discussed the differences in teaching styles which help create a more dynamic class experience. The instructor must be able to wear different hats in order to conduct a good lesson for all students to learn. For example, when doing a class activity it may be necessary to be a model by showing the students an example or modeling what is being asked. This type of style may be more effective for beginners but can be used for any level Student. Also, young learners are taught by the model style because they may not have a reference for the words you may use. Their limited history and background may cause them to need more references in order to complete class activities.
