This unit was exactly what I was looking for! The lesson plans provided really helped me to get an idea of how a young learner class should be run, and the outside resources linked in the unit will be very useful. Of the topics covered in this unit, some ideas that stood out to me the most were 1) when coming up with games you should pick the language point first and then pick a game that fits, rather than trying to pick the game first and trying to adapt it to the language point, 2) teenagers prefer charades and taboo type games over other drama, and 3) the theory of multiple intelligence proposes that student learning is accelerated when it involves activities that stimulate both halves of the brain simultaneously, such as when using art as a vehicle for language use.
