In unit one, I have learned that there are different types of teachers and students. It is very good to learn the verity so you know what type teacher you would like to be and the best way to approach every type of student there is. At the end of the day, as a TEFL teacher, you must be encouraging, sensitive, respectful, patient and motivating. With that combination, hopefully you will be the teacher that you wished you had whilst you were in school. There are more than one type of student. The adults are motivated, but can be anxious. Their are three levels for the young learners based on their age. With this group you can have a combination of motivated, short attention span and disconnected students. With this group, it is important to stay engaging and encouraging.
