This unit covered what lesson plans should be, and what they should not be. It began by explaining why we use lesson plans, touching on how they are used to plan, record, and provide a working document for the teacher. Then it went on to describe the different items that should be included in a lesson plan, i.e. objectives, procedure, timing. This section I found particularly helpful, as a new educator it is nice to get some broad guidelines so you can step into a new role organized. It continues then to touch on self evaluations to encourage growth in your teaching. It also mentions the importance of flexibility within your plans, I felt this was an important point considering each class with move at a different pace and being able to adapt would be hugely beneficial.
