This unit teaches about the many methodologies that are used to teach English to non native English speakers. It explained what the methodologies are the history behind them and the positives and negatives of each method. It also helped teach about the latest method which combines all the methods which is called the ESA method. The ESA method combines all the positives from the previous methodologies therefore allowing the student to learn English in a better way. The ESA method also has different ways of applying the lesson so that there is less predictability in the lesson which helps make it more motivating for the student especially in more advanced English classes. This unit also helped to give great examples on how to incorporate different aspect of the ESA method.
