This lesson classified teaching English into three different categories and how they relate to the ESA structure. Vocabulary is commonly taught by using a visual aide or a tool to engage the students, drilling or games during the study phase, and common usage of the vocabulary during the activate phase. Grammatical structure is commonly taught in a similar way to vocabulary during the engage phase, different games and drills during the study phase, and a number of tools during the activate phase including story building using the correct grammar to discussing the studied grammar. Language functions are a far more broad subject in that mostly goes over which kind of language is used in different scenarios, ie which terms should be used when teaching one how to ride a bike.
