This unit describes various aspects of course development. It begins by discussing how to effectively spend first meetings and the importance of level tests, providing a five-level scale as a reference. It goes on to give a sample of such a test and discusses how to reference to the previously introduced scale and what the levels indicate of the students' skills. Then, the unit goes on to highlight the importance of a needs analysis, also providing sample pages. Then, the unit goes on to discuss syllabus design, giving examples of possible tasks to use in lessons and a sample syllabus. Finally, the unit ends by discussing the importance of final assessments of both students and teachers and possible Business English examinations that students might be interested in taking.
