It is very important that the teacher always stays flexible. That does not mean that he/she shouldn´t make a certain plan for the lesson but too much planning can make lessons rigid and too teacher centred. An inexperienced teacher should do more preparations before the lesson than an experienced teacher. Each teacher has to find their own way of writing plans. Some of them write formal plans, some jot notes, some log details into class notebooks. Many experienced teachers just write a few brief notes on a piece of paper. Teachers continually strive to improve their skills and make their classes more enjoyable. An effective way of doing this is for the teacher to evaluate his/her own lessons and make notes on what went well and where the lesson could have been improved.
